When you think of resorts in Okinawa, many people think of the northern part of the main island or the outlying islands, but there are also many beautiful spots in the southern part of the island. The Valley of Gangara is a place where you can experience the dynamism and mystery of nature. This area is also home to a concentration of cafes with spectacular views where locals come to enjoy the ocean. Okinawa is also known as a place where you can play golf all year round, and many of these are located in the southern part of the island.

We believe that the southern part of the main island is a resort area that can be enjoyed by people who have never been to Okinawa before, as well as repeat visitors to Okinawa. By opening as a luxury resort hotel that aims to be the best in the Orient, we believe that we can provide a new style that adds a little extra to the charm of Okinawa tourism to date.

The design concept of the hotel is "Ryukyu Colonial." "Colonial" is the name of an architectural style, referring to the European-style architecture found in Southeast Asia. Even today, this architectural style is often seen in luxury resorts in Southeast Asia, such as Singapore and Malaysia, but this hotel adds "Ryukyu" elements to it.

The hotel's interior is sprinkled with modern elements of wonderful traditional crafts and culture that have been passed down from the Ryukyu Dynasty to the present day. For example, some motifs, such as "Ryukyu glass," "Miyako Jofu," and "flower hats," may not be immediately noticeable at first glance, but the more you learn about Okinawa's history and culture, the more you will see the hotel's design. We believe that this is one of the points that will be enjoyed not only by our guests staying at the hotel, but also by Okinawan guests, as we have used designs that we see every day, such as flower blocks.

The lobby, where you will be welcomed, is planned to be a space where you can feel Okinawa's traditions and culture, as well as the nature of Yanbaru, a World Heritage Site, and everything about Okinawa. We hope you will enjoy wandering around the art-filled building as if you were viewing artworks in an art museum.

We use our own unique food procurement routes to purchase seasonal ingredients from both within Japan and overseas. For example, it is possible for fresh fish caught in the Hokuriku region early in the morning to arrive in Okinawa the next day. You can experience the four seasons of Japan and taste trendy cuisine from around the world while in Okinawa, with a wide range of appealing menus.

For banquets where food is provided to several hundred people at once, we will pursue the "basics" so that all guests can enjoy their food in the best possible condition, with hot food served hot and cold food served cold. For wedding meals, we would like to propose a course menu where freshly cooked food can be served, rather than the standard table-top cuisine in Okinawa. We will be offering a lineup worthy of a "special occasion," so please look forward to it.

And of course, I want you to pay attention to the plates and cutlery as well as the food. I personally visited manufacturers all over the country and selected tableware that matches the concept of Ryukyu Hotel & Resort Meijo Beach. They will further enhance the appeal of the food we have put our heart and soul into, and create a rich dining experience.

In addition to the buffet dining, there are also a variety of unique restaurants and bars. The main dining area serves high-quality course meals with roast beef as the main dish, a stylish BBQ restaurant with a resort feel, and a bar where you can end your evening in luxury. We have all the facilities to make your stay at the hotel a luxurious one.

After relaxing to your heart's content at the resort, you can dress up and enjoy an elegant dinner, or have a nightcap in the bar's sophisticated space. We would like to suggest a variety of ways to spend your time through our restaurants.

I was involved in this project from the kitchen design stage onwards. I pursued questions from a chef's perspective, such as "What is the best way to serve customers the best food?" and "What kind of live kitchen would make the chef's performance look beautiful?", and was able to create the ideal kitchen. The ease with which a chef can work in a kitchen is directly linked to the deliciousness of the food. You can look forward to the dishes that will be created in this hotel, which has the best environment for a chef.

We imagine that many of our guests have been to Okinawa and other resorts around the world many times. In order to satisfy such experienced guests, we believe that we must provide services that exceed their expectations.

We are confident that the Club Lounge will be a symbolic facility of our hotel that will satisfy many guests.

In addition to the spacious space with seating for approximately 150 people, there is terrace seating where you can watch the sunset sink into the west coast, and the interior of the restaurant allows you to enjoy a short lounge break after an active day. The club lounge also features a bar counter, which is rare in Japan, and in the evening, bartenders will be on hand at the Twilight Bar & Lounge. We hope you will enjoy a conversation with the bartender and a cocktail that suits your mood. There will also be live music on the permanent grand piano... We want to provide you with a club lounge experience like no other. We will create a special place that only a select number of guests can access, a one-of-a-kind facility that will make your stay a luxurious hotel experience.

One of the hotel's features is its banquet hall, which is one of the largest in the prefecture. It is equipped with the specifications to host any type of event, including large-scale MICE and parties. The open foyer is also equipped with a bar counter, so you can serve welcome drinks to your guests as you guide them to the party venue.

Furthermore, our hotel will also be hosting weddings. A wedding ceremony in a pure white chapel facing the beach will be a special moment to be etched in the bride and groom's memory as they receive blessings from their loved ones. In addition, the reception and party in the banquet hall will propose a new and unprecedented "Okinawa wedding." Combining elements of an Okinawan resort wedding with an urban and sophisticated style, we are preparing a wedding that only Ryukyu Hotel & Resort Meijo Beach can offer, so please look forward to it.

Food is essential for both banquets and weddings, and Executive Chef Komatsu and his team of chefs are constantly experimenting every day to improve the quality of the food. Watching them do this makes me excited, and at the same time, it makes me want to pursue service quality by providing our customers with the best possible presentation of this wonderful food.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Okinawa's return to Japan, and we feel it is a great honor to be able to open Ryukyu Hotel & Resort Meijo Beach. As you know, tourism is Okinawa's leading industry. In recent years, the prefecture has struggled due to the effects of COVID-XNUMX. Although this experience has been tough, we believe it has been an opportunity for us to once again feel the charm and importance of "traveling."

A hotel will not be finished in a year. We are creating Ryukyu Hotel with an eye on Okinawa tourism 1, 10, and 20 years into the future. Okinawa's charm never ends. The world-famous, beautiful blue sea, the newly registered World Heritage Site "Yanbaru Forest," and the southern part of the main island where our hotel is located are wonderful areas where Okinawa's ancient traditions and culture live on. We are confident that Okinawa will shine even more after COVID-30, and that many tourists from both Japan and abroad will visit again.
